Energy Debuts Second Soundbar in New Energy Power™ Series

Energy Debuts Brand's First Soundbar

INDIANAPOLIS (November 22, 2011) — Energy, a Klipsch Group, Inc. brand and industry leader in audio engineering and development, announces today the introduction of the Energy Power™ Bar Elite, the brand's second soundbar debuting in the Energy Power™ Series. Employing plug n' play functionality, Dolby® Digital Decoding and 3D Surround Mode, this soundbar instantly upgrades any sound system with undeniable power.

Known for their sonic accuracy and dramatic spatial reproduction of the live concert experience, the Energy Power Bar Elite enters the prestigious speaker lineup for precise yet effortless sound. Featuring a world-class design and innovative audio technologies, the soundbar stays true to Energy sound principles and presents unrivaled flat on-axis frequency response and minimal levels of distortion and resonance.

Included with the Energy Power Bar Elite is a commanding 10-inch wireless, side-firing subwoofer that immediately connects with the soundbar once plugged into a power source – no other wires necessary. Available in a matte black finish, the compact subwoofer seamlessly integrates into any living environment and can be easily setup to be controlled with many existing television remote controls. The soundbar also comes with a 1.5m optical cable, one RCA cable, credit card style remote, a pair of rubber feet, as well as a wall-mounting template.

Unlike most soundbars, the Energy Power Bar Elite utilizes a true, two-way speaker driver design similar to that used in a fine music speaker. Its .75-inch tweeter is matted to dual 3-inch mid-bass drivers for detailed, high-output sound for almost any size room. Unique to Energy speakers, the CSM technology places tweeters and mid-woofers in close proximity to act as a single source for coherent, seamless dispersion. With a built-in Dolby Digital Decoder, the soundbar reproduces detailed, high-quality sound no matter the format of sound that comes from a television. In addition, the Energy Power Bar Elite features 3D Surround Mode available with the touch of a button that adds spaciousness to the sound, simulating a true 5.1 home theater experience. Most important, the 3D Surround Mode requires no distinct speaker placement, special room requirements or specific program material to work properly.

"We developed the Energy Power Bar Elite to both significantly improve television and movie surround and give consumers the option of simulating a multi-speaker system," said Tommy Jacobs, director of customer development for Energy. "Unfortunately, today's high-style televisions utilize thin cabinets that are incapable of clear, room-filling sound. With our latest soundbar, users experience an instant home theater upgrade as soon as they plug in – no additional equipment or wires needed."

The Energy Power Bar Elite will retail for $599.99 (U.S. MSRP) and be available through authorized Energy retailers in November 2011.
